Synova Connect

Google Voice integration

Link your Google Voice number to Synova Connect so every incoming call is answered automatically by your receptionist.

Forward calls from your Google Voice number to your Synova Connect AI receptionist so every incoming call is answered automatically.

Prerequisites

  • Build and test your AI receptionist — if you haven't already, this should take about five minutes.
  • Get a standalone number from Synova — this should take about one minute. You can do this from the Phone Number page in your dashboard. See Phone numbers.

When following these steps, do not try to verify by text or you will have to start the process over. You must click "verify by phone" — the small text link below the phone number input field.

Linking your number

  • Open the Google Voice app on your phone.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Under Account, select Devices and Numbers.
  • Under Linked Numbers, select New Linked Number.
  • Enter your Synova Connect standalone number in the text box.
  • Click "verify by phone" (not the text verification option).

Finding the verification code

Google Voice will call your Synova Connect number and leave a verification code. To find it:

  • Log in to your Synova Connect dashboard.
  • Go to Logs > Call Logs.
  • Click Refresh to load the latest calls.
  • Look for a recent transcribed call containing a six-digit verification code.
  • Enter the six-digit code into your Google Voice app to complete the linking.

The AI transcription may interpret some digits as words (e.g., "four" instead of "4"). Read the transcript carefully and convert any spoken numbers back to digits.

Final setup

After linking, complete these steps so your receptionist answers every call:

  • Open the Google Voice app.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Under Calls, toggle Call Screening to off.
  • Call your Google Voice number to verify that your AI receptionist answers.

Your Google Voice number is now connected. All incoming calls will be forwarded to your AI receptionist automatically.
